The pursuit of constant improvement is a significant component of the standard. Of course, by definition, improvement goes hand-in-hand with correction! Even so, performing a cause analysis and determining corrective actions remains among the most stressful aspects of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 compliance.
The goal of this webinar is to get you more comfortable with the process of cause analysis and corrective action so you can focus on doing your job rather than worrying about whether or not you’ll have a finding during your next assessment! Melanie Ross, a Training Products Specialist with ANAB, will present an overview on how to initiate and perform a cause analysis. You will also learn how to evaluate the significance of nonconforming work to determine if a corrective action is necessary.
After establishing this baseline, Melanie will share more about the philosophy, purpose and benefits of performing an effective cause analysis. You will be introduced to the strategy of asking “why” at least five times to help you get to the true source of the nonconformance, and learn why “blaming the individual” is a short-sighted approach to addressing a nonconformance. Melanie will also touch on the difference between a correction and a corrective action.
We will conclude the webinar with an overview of the Qualtrax system and share how built-in tools such as the Best-in-Class Corrective Action and Risk Assessment Workflows, paired with our Reporting Platform, can simplify this process for you!
