It’s critical to our success as a vendor that we listen to what our customers request and incorporate it into our product releases. This isn’t just nominal marketing speak—we actually do this. To quantify what I mean, the 2014 R3 release contains feature and defect fixes from 29 unique customers, representing 21 different companies.
These enhancements ranged from small bug fixes, like Karen Sak’s reported issue with resizing the browser while viewing a report, which caused the tables to display incorrectly, to major new features, like the request from the folks at Psychemedics to add custom field support for Uncontrolled documents … and everything in between.
Our product roadmap is shaped by the needs from all customers across our each industry we serve. Furthermore, we aim to concentrate each release on one or two product themes, to focus the value and areas of potential training to a smaller part of the product. For our FDA customers, this greatly reduces the overhead in validation testing with each release. But it also means we can get releases out sooner to let you take advantage of the value we’re churning out. To that point, we made more major releases last year (3) than ever. And this year, we’re ramping that up even more. In fact, 2015 R1 is projected for early February.
If you have product ideas or want to know where your needs may fall in our roadmap, we welcome your feedback. Our Product Development Forum is a great place to view the roadmap and chime in. And each upcoming release’s details are also shared, so be sure to check the Support Portal for that information too.
Finally, if you have never read the product reviews for the Hutzler 571 Banana Slicer on Amazon, do yourself a favor and check them out. Just know that we value your feedback as much as Hutzler probably does!
