It feels good to share good news!
We love when we turn on the TV and hear about wonderful things happening in the world around us. The icing on the cake is when we turn on the news and our CEO, Amy Ankrum, is commenting on the wonderful things happening in our very own backyard.
Recently, a local economic development group, Onward NRV, shared a stunning video that highlights all the beauty, potential, and value the New River Valley (our home) has to offer.
This video was such a hit in our region that one local media outlet created a follow up segment highlighting the video, discussing our region’s 5-year growth strategy, and gathering perspectives from other community leaders. Within this news clip Amy said, ” [The New River Valley has] A lot of activities that just make it a wonderful place for people to come and raise their families and I think that’s helped us find the right kinds of people to come work here.”
As we have grown in a rapid and sustained manner over recent years, we know one key factor is our ability to attract the right type of talent to our team. We aren’t just an amazing compliance software product: we are an amazing compliance software product backed by an even more amazing group of people. Rankings like, “One of the 10 best job markets in America” and “#1 best place to raise a family” only solidify what we intuitively know to be true about our region.
We love that this video looks at the big picture of economic development. As we all know, it isn’t enough to simply have job openings and booming industries. In today’s world it’s about having the full package, and the New River Valley delivers!
