JusticeTrax and Qualtrax have worked together to deliver solutions that meet the forensic industry’s compliance tracking needs for years.
In 2016 JusticeTrax chose Qualtrax as their Quality Management Solution.
The President of JusticeTrax, Simon Key, gave some insight into why they chose Qualtrax.
The similarity between forensics and a quality system is that it’s not what you do but what you can document that you do. Nowhere is that more important than a forensic lab. … What Qualtrax does is it lets us keep track of those [documents], search them. Making them easily accessible for everyone.
The real payoff for ISO, I think, is when you stop looking at it as something that you add on to your business, and you start looking at it as the way you manage your business. And for us, Qualtrax was a huge part of making that implement. The ability to actually use Qualtrax as our management system has really enabled us to take the next step with ISO.
Soon after Qualtrax was chosen as the solution for JusticeTrax, we decided to take our partnership to the next level by linking our two systems. This integration between our two systems allows us to initiate processes and share common data, which in turn reduces redundancies, overhead, and risk for both of our laboratory customers.
Simon spoke highly of our joint integration.
We started with a single use case, and this was the ability to launch a workflow in Qualtrax, from inside of LIMSplus. I think it’s going to be really useful. A lot of people are going to be very excited about that.
Simon continued, “We have a number of other use cases coming up. And one of the ones that I’m personally most excited about is the ability to be able to access documents stored in the Qualtrax system, directly from inside of our LIMSplus document control system. So all of that supporting documentation that LIMS does, we are now going to be able to sort-of wrap in the Qualtrax documentation as well. I think that’s going to be huge.”
