Christmas 2017 with Qualtrax

Every year Qualtrax celebrates Christmas with a giant tree that we all decorate together and a party to usher in the end of the year.

On November 27th, Amy Ankrum, our CEO, and her husband brought in this year’s tree for the office. Every year they cut one down themselves and bring it in for us to celebrate with (which we really appreciate).

This year, however, they outdid themselves and brought in a 14-foot tree for the office! That shatters the previous year’s record of 12-feet.

The team then set to work decorating it and the rest of the office while Christmas music from Charlie Brown played in the background. Team members can even bring in personal ornaments to hang on the tree to make it feel more like home.

Our ladders weren’t even tall enough to reach the top, so some of the ornaments had to be added from the upstairs breezeway.

Later that week, employees volunteered their time at the local Christiansburg Christmas Store. It provides local families with clothes, food, toys, and more for the holiday season. It’s one of the many charities that the Qualtrax team supports each year.

Soon after, we had our Christmas party on December 8th at the Qualtrax Headquarters in Blacksburg, where we celebrated another year well done with the extended Qualtrax family. Our theme for the event was ‘Masquerade’.

We had some amazing food catered by a local restaurant, along with lots of tasty drinks, and casino games to enjoy, with holiday music to boot. (We had the disco ball on as well, of course.) You could very easily say that we “ate, drank, and were merry”, which was made all the better by visiting with our team and their family members.
