Our Operational Engineers (OE) are responsible for Qualtrax’s hosted offering. Researching, designing, automating, and performing tasks that maintain and improve the hosted environment. An OE will work cross-functionally to ensure customer needs are met and exceeded.


Job Responsibilities

  • Create solutions to maintain uptime, performance, and security
  • Improve and automate solutions for infrastructure
  • Design solutions which scale our hosted offering effectively, including in terms of cost
  • Assist Services and Support teams as needed
  • Participate in an on-call rotation in case of outages
  • Share insights and experience in team and company discussions
  • Be the voice and advocate for the company’s purpose and mission

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience supporting applications on a Microsoft Stack (ASP.NET, IIS, SQL Server, and Basic Networking)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure (Strongly Preferred) or Amazon AWS
  • Ability to automate administrative tasks
  • Capable of developing solutions given the needs and requirements
  • Good working knowledge of Windows system administration
  • Comfortable working with source control, open source projects, and tools
  • Associates Degree or at least 2 years of experience
  • Able to work on a team or individually
    • Highly self-motivated and self-directed
    • Accepts and responds to feedback quickly and positively
