Webinar: Leveraging Workflows to Sustain CAP/CLIA Accreditation

October 29, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm EDT

Many of the processes an assessor will be evaluating during a CAP inspection are notoriously hard to track.

CAP/CLIA Webinar

DCL Pathology has successfully navigated this challenge by automating their processes using workflows from Qualtrax.

In this webinar, Bryan Szpunar, Operations Manager at DCL Pathology, will share examples of the workflows he and his team use to address items from CAP’s All Common and Laboratory General checklists. He will explain how these workflows allow his team to save significant time in audit prep, as well as ensure that all requisite components are documented according to the standard. He will also be discussing the advantages his team has realized through the ease of reporting on these workflows during an inspection.

Finally, Bryan will share how Qualtrax has helped his small team mitigate the need for a full-time quality manager without increasing the burden on his current team.

  1. You will learn how to meet requirements for equipment performance verification through workflows (COM.30550)
  2. You will learn how to track proficiency testing and alternative assessments through workflows (COM.01300)
  3. You will learn how to empower your staff to keep track of their own continuing education (GEN.54200)
