Welcome back, everyone!
This week I’m happy to introduce you all to Mark Bentz and Brian Smusz, two of our newest team members. Mark is joining us as an Account Executive, and Brian as a Sales Development Representative, both specializing in the Manufacturing industry.
As is tradition, they have both written up a short introduction to themselves, which I’ve included below. Enjoy!
“Hello everyone! My name is Mark Bentz and I am very excited to join the Qualtrax team as an Account Executive specializing in the manufacturing marketplace.
I’m very happy to be with a small, very focused company. I work remotely and not in Blacksburg as I was born and raised (and still live in) Allentown, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Elizabethtown College in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing communications. While at Etown I also played four years of varsity baseball, was vice president of my graduating class, sports editor of the school newspaper and involved with student government and severed as a peer mentor for incoming freshmen. Once I graduated, I went to work in higher education fundraising at Moravian College. While working there, I pursued and received my MBA. After leaving higher education, I moved into sales beginning in 401(k) sales with ADP for over four years. I spent the next four years after ADP working in sales at Iron Mountain specializing in helping customers with their document management needs. Once I saw the opportunity at Qualtrax, I knew it was the perfect fit for me!
I married my wife, Kim, in 2011. She works as the VP of Marketing & Sales for Pacesetter Enterprises and also works as a fitness consultant. We have two children – our daughter, Alexis, who turns 5 in October 2017 and our son, Connor, who will turn 3 in December 2017. Both play youth soccer and Alexis will begin kindergarten next fall.
In my spare time, I enjoy watching sports, listening to country music and being with my family. My favorite sports teams include professionally the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Flyers, Philadelphia 76ers and the Denver Broncos. My favorite collegiate teams are Notre Dame football, Duke basketball and Oklahoma State baseball.
I’m very excited to begin my Qualtrax tenure!”
Now on to Brian Smusz, who wanted you to know this about him:
“I went to college at Suffolk University which is located in Boston, afterward I stayed in Boston and worked. I first started working for Clean Harbors emergency response team. We would travel to areas of the United States and Canada and manage the cleanup response for natural disasters, oils spills, and refinery turnarounds. I then transitioned and started working for a couple smaller tech companies in Boston. I recently moved back to the Roanoke area and I feel lucky to have found a company like Qualtrax to join. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to be part of a growing company.”
Thanks, Mark and Brian for the great introductions!
Pretty soon we will have some more employees to introduce themselves, so make sure you’re subscribed to our blog and don’t miss out on anything.
