FQS Top 10 Non-Conformities

Laurette Rapp, Quality Assurance Manager for Acadiana Criminalistics Laboratory, gave a 30 minute presentation to review common non-conformities that labs often experience during FQS audits. Laurette reviewed the top ten non-conformities and then talked briefly about how some of these findings can be avoided. The presentation is about 20 minutes long.
About the presenter:
Laurette Rapp earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Toxicology from Northeast Louisiana University. After working in the environmental field, she began working as a forensic chemist at the Acadiana Crime Laboratory in 1994 in New Iberia, Louisiana. She is currently the Quality Manager for the laboratory as well as the section supervisor for drug chemistry. Laurette served as the Social Chair for the SAFS Spring Meeting in Lafayette, Louisiana. In addition to her membership in SAFS, she is currently also an active member of the Louisiana Association of Forensic Scientists (LAFS), the Association of Forensic Quality Assurance Managers (AFQAM), and Clandestine Investigating Chemists (CLIC), having served on the Board of each of these organizations. Her analytical duties include drug chemistry, fire debris analysis, and blood alcohol analysis. Laurette also performs assessments to the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard as an assessor for Forensic Quality Services, Inc.
